This year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Zambia, a partnership that has flourished over the decades. In September, at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit, a significant milestone was reached. The presidents of China, Zambia, and Tanzania witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding to revitalize the Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA) railway. This historic railway, a symbol of friendship and cooperation, is set to receive a new lease on life, further strengthening the bonds between the countries.
CGTN’s Lily Lyu conducted an exclusive interview with Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, discussing how China-Zambia cooperation propels mutual development and addresses global challenges.
