The State Council Information Office of China (SCIO) held a press conference today on China-ASEAN trade and economic cooperation, highlighting the upcoming 21st China-ASEAN Expo and the 21st China-ASEAN Business & Investment Summit.
Li Fei, vice minister of commerce; Tan Pichuang, vice chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; and Zhang Shaogang, vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, addressed questions from the media.
The officials emphasized the strengthening economic ties between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), underscoring the significance of the upcoming events in fostering regional collaboration and mutual growth.
“The China-ASEAN Expo serves as a vital platform for enhancing trade partnerships and exploring new opportunities within the region,” Li Fei stated.
Tan Pichuang discussed the preparations underway in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to host the expo, aiming to boost connectivity and economic integration between China and ASEAN member countries.
Zhang Shaogang highlighted the role of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in facilitating investment and business collaborations, expressing optimism for future prospects.
The 21st China-ASEAN Expo and the 21st China-ASEAN Business & Investment Summit are expected to bring together business leaders, investors, and policymakers to discuss strategies for economic development and cooperation.
