The China-Africa Business Council held a launch ceremony on Friday for the Report on Chinese Investment in Africa 2024. The Invest in Africa Beijing Dialogue focused on strengthening industrial chains and exploring investment opportunities between China and Africa.
The event featured a panel discussion anchored by CGTN’s Cen Ziyuan. Panelists included Naikoba Margret, head of the e-cash section at Uganda’s Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development; Gana Oyinkro Tuayeringha, director general of Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment; Xiong Tao, vice president of BGI Global Development; Tang Xiaoyang, an international relations professor at Tsinghua University; and Dakkouni Btissam, chief representative at Attijariwafa Bank’s Beijing Representative Office.
Discussions centered on enhancing China-Africa collaboration in industrial development and investment. The panelists shared insights on the opportunities and challenges in fostering economic ties between China and African nations, emphasizing the importance of sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships.
