Two Vietnamese students at Peking University, Huynh Gia Han and Do Tan Dung, recently shared their firsthand experiences and insights on Vietnamese President and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam’s state visit to China.
They were interviewed by CGTN’s Enoch Wong on the latest episode of “The Power of Youth+,” where they discussed the diplomatic activities surrounding the visit and its broader implications for China-Vietnam relations.
Having attended the official reception welcoming President To Lam in Beijing, Huynh and Do provided unique perspectives on the significance of his first international trip in his dual role as President and General Secretary.
They highlighted how this milestone visit could shape the future of bilateral cooperation, socialist modernization, and regional stability.
“The visit symbolizes a new era of strengthened ties between China and Vietnam,” said Huynh. “It opens up opportunities for collaboration in various sectors, from economy to culture.”
Do added, “As students studying in China, we are witnessing history in the making. This visit not only impacts our two countries but also contributes to peace and development in the region.”
They emphasized the importance of youth engagement in fostering mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations.
