The vibrant city of Yancheng in east China’s Jiangsu Province came alive from June 9 to 10 as it hosted the 2024 Chinese Dragon Boat Race. The event attracted nearly 800 athletes across 29 teams, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and competitive spirit associated with dragon boat racing.

This year’s competition featured an array of thrilling races, including 100-meter, 200-meter, and 500-meter straight-line sprints, as well as a grueling 1,000-meter round-trip challenge. Teams competed across five categories: Professional Men’s Group, Professional Women’s Group, Elite Open, Youth Men’s Group, and Youth Women’s Group, offering a platform for both seasoned athletes and emerging talents.
