China Introduces Measures to Ease Foreigners’ Visits

The State Council Information Office of China announced today five new measures aimed at facilitating foreign nationals’ visits to the Chinese mainland. In a press conference held in Beijing, Liu Haitao, deputy administrator of the National Immigration Administration, addressed the media and took questions.

Liu Haitao emphasized that these measures are part of China’s ongoing efforts to open up and strengthen international cooperation. “We are committed to creating a more convenient and welcoming environment for foreign visitors. These initiatives will not only benefit travelers but also promote mutual understanding and cooperation between China and the rest of the world,” he stated.

While specific details of the measures were not fully disclosed, they are expected to simplify visa application processes, enhance entry and exit procedures, and improve services for international visitors. These steps aim to boost tourism, foster business exchanges, and encourage cultural interactions.

The announcement has been positively received by global business communities, academics, and travelers who are eager to engage more closely with China. Further information on the implementation of these measures is anticipated in the coming weeks.
