Northern Gaza Left Without Hospitals as Fighting Intensifies in Gaza City

The World Health Organization announced on Thursday that northern Gaza has been left without a functional hospital, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region. Residents are facing immense difficulties accessing medical care amid ongoing hostilities.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have begun operations against Hamas in new areas of Gaza City, specifically in the neighborhoods of Daraj and Tuffah. An IDF spokesperson stated on Wednesday that these actions mark a significant phase as the military campaign in northern Gaza approaches its conclusion.

According to Gazan authorities, the death toll of Palestinians since October 7 has reached 20,000, including more than 8,000 children and 6,200 women. The escalating conflict has led to a severe humanitarian situation, drawing international concern and calls for de-escalation.
