Beijing, November 8 – The 2023 Financial Street Forum commenced today in Beijing, bringing together over 400 experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs from 30 countries and regions in the financial sector. The three-day event focuses on financial reform, openness, and innovation.
A key highlight of this year’s forum is a parallel conference themed “Promote the Joint Construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, Boost Regional Cooperation and Win-Win Development.” The conference aims to foster collaboration and shared growth among participating countries and regions through the Belt and Road Initiative.
Founded in 2012, the annual Financial Street Forum has evolved into a significant platform for international financial dialogue and cooperation. It is jointly organized by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the People’s Bank of China, Xinhua News Agency, China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, China Securities Regulatory Commission, and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
The forum provides an opportunity for participants to discuss pressing financial issues, share insights on global economic trends, and explore avenues for sustainable development. The emphasis on the Belt and Road Initiative reflects a commitment to enhancing connectivity and economic integration across Asia and beyond.
