Over 4,000 leaders and delegates from around the world have convened in Beijing for the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. This significant gathering marks a decade since the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was announced in 2013, aiming to foster global development and cooperation.
The forum brings together government officials, leading experts, scholars, and observers to engage in interactive discussions about the achievements of the BRI over the past ten years. Participants are also exploring future opportunities for collaboration and strategies to contribute to worldwide growth.
In a co-production by China Global Television Network (CGTN) and Russia’s TV BRICS, simultaneous discussions are taking place in Beijing and Moscow. These dialogues focus on assessing the impact of the BRI on global trade, infrastructure development, and cultural exchange, highlighting stories of success and lessons learned.
The Belt and Road Initiative, encompassing over 140 countries and international organizations, has been a pivotal platform for enhancing connectivity and economic integration across Asia, Europe, Africa, and beyond. Projects under the BRI have ranged from railway lines and ports to energy pipelines and digital infrastructure, aiming to boost regional development and mutual prosperity.
As the forum progresses, delegates are expected to propose new ideas and initiatives to further strengthen international cooperation under the framework of the BRI, addressing challenges such as sustainable development, technological innovation, and environmental protection.
The third Belt and Road Forum signifies a commitment to continued dialogue and partnership among nations, emphasizing shared goals of common development and prosperity in an increasingly interconnected world.
