Massive Protests Sweep US Over Immigration, Iran Policies

Millions of Americans flooded streets nationwide on March 28 in one of the largest coordinated demonstrations in recent US history, with organizers reporting over 3,100 events across all 50 states. The protests targeted federal policies ranging from immigration enforcement to military engagement with Iran, under the unifying banner of "No Kings."

In Los Angeles, demonstrators told CGTN Stringer they opposed what they called "hypocritical leadership." Protester Lucy stated: "I'm absolutely disgusted with our government for getting involved in a war that we have no business being in." Fellow activist Nate criticized Washington's approach: "The US government is nothing but a bunch of hypocrites."

While the protests remained largely peaceful, their scale highlights growing domestic tensions as the Biden administration enters its final year. Political analysts suggest these demonstrations could influence policy debates ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
