Suicide Bombing Rocks Islamabad Court, 12 Dead

A suicide attack outside Islamabad's district court on November 11, 2025, killed at least 12 people and wounded 27 others in one of the Pakistani capital's deadliest incidents this year. The Pakistan Taliban swiftly claimed responsibility for the bombing through its official communication channels.

Emergency responders rushed victims to nearby hospitals as security forces cordoned off the area. Acting PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan, who visited the site shortly after the explosion, condemned the attack as "a calculated act of terrorism aimed at destabilizing our nation." He urged political unity, stating "this is not the time for division but collective resolve against extremism."

The attack marks the first major terrorist incident in Islamabad since 2023, raising concerns about evolving security challenges as Pakistan prepares for winter parliamentary sessions. Analysts note increased militant activity along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region in recent months.
