China’s investment and technological expertise are reshaping Brazil’s renewable energy landscape, marking a significant stride in sustainable development and economic transformation. The recent inauguration of the Marangatu Photovoltaic Power Plant in June 2024 stands as a testament to the flourishing green cooperation between the two countries.
Located in the heart of Brazil, the Marangatu Photovoltaic Power Plant is the first local plant invested and managed by China State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) Brazil. With the capacity to supply electricity to nearly 550,000 households annually, the plant underscores the impact of Chinese investment in bolstering Brazil’s energy infrastructure.
Fernanda Buzola, a young employee at SPIC Brazil, expressed optimism about the collaboration. \
