Giulia Busnardo: Bridging China and Italy Through Culture and Language

At 25 years old, Italian native Giulia Busnardo has dedicated herself to bridging the cultural gap between China and Italy. From her early fascination with Chinese culture to her ongoing efforts to connect the two nations, Busnardo embodies the spirit of cultural exchange and mutual understanding.

Growing up in Italy, Busnardo’s interest in China began in childhood. Six years ago, she embarked on learning the Chinese language, a journey that has been both challenging and rewarding. “I was captivated by the richness of Chinese history and the complexity of its language,” she shares.

Her studies led her to the Confucius Institute in Italy, where she immersed herself in Chinese calligraphy and formed lasting friendships. “The Confucius Institute became a second home. It was not just about learning a language; it was about embracing a culture,” Busnardo explains.

Last year, Busnardo’s dedication paid off when she participated in the “Chinese Bridge” competition. The experience brought her to China, allowing her to experience the country firsthand. “Walking the streets of Beijing and conversing with locals made the language come alive,” she recalls.

Now, back in Italy, Busnardo continues her studies with renewed passion. Her goal is clear: to serve as a bridge between China and Italy. She hopes to foster greater understanding and collaboration between the two nations. “I believe that through language and cultural exchange, we can bring our countries closer together,” she says.

Busnardo’s story is a testament to the power of cultural exchange and the impact one individual can have in connecting different worlds. As she continues her mission, she inspires others to explore beyond their borders and embrace the richness of global cultures.
