On Wednesday, a series of pager explosions rocked Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of 37 individuals and injuring thousands more, according to the Lebanese health ministry. The pagers, used by Hezbollah members, were detonated under mysterious circumstances, raising concerns about the potential escalation of regional conflicts.
Ali Omais, director of the Center for Strategic Research and Studies at the Makassed University of Beirut, provided insight into the possible causes of the explosions during an interview with CGTN.
Omais suggested that Israel might have been behind the incident, alleging that the pagers were modified to include explosive materials. \
