Local resident Mohammad Hamde described the terrifying moments during the strike. “I heard explosions, but the dust was too thick to see anything clearly,” he said. “We just saw ambulances, civil defense, and fire trucks on-site.”
The narrow streets of Beirut were filled with sirens and the cries of the injured as emergency services rushed to the scene.
