German Exchange Student Shares Travel Experiences in China

Shanghai’s bustling streets have become a second home for Furuisai, a German exchange student studying at Tongji University. Embracing the vibrant culture and rich history of China, he has embarked on journeys across numerous cities, with Beijing holding a special place in his heart.

“The universities in Beijing are incredible, and walking along the Great Wall was absolutely breathtaking,” he shared, reflecting on his travels. The blend of ancient traditions and modern advancements has left a lasting impression on him.

Delighting in local cuisines, Furuisai has immersed himself in the culinary diversity that China offers. From street food stalls to traditional restaurants, each meal has been an adventure. “Trying new dishes has been one of my favorite experiences,” he said with enthusiasm.

He also marveled at the convenience of China’s mobile payment systems. “Everything is so seamless here. Using my phone to pay for meals, transportation, and shopping has made life so much easier,” he noted.

Highlighting the well-maintained tourist facilities, he emphasized how accessible and enjoyable traveling in China can be. “The infrastructure is impressive. It’s easy for visitors to navigate and explore,” he added.

Recently, the 15-day visa-free policy has allowed his family and friends to visit him in Shanghai without hassle. Acting as their personal tour guide, he has been thrilled to show them around the city he now calls home. “It’s wonderful to share my life here with them. The visa-free policy definitely encourages more tourists to come and experience China,” Furuisai told CGTN.

He believes that such initiatives will significantly boost China’s tourism industry, inviting more international visitors to discover the country’s wonders.
