Vietnamese Youth Anticipate Stronger Ties After Xi Jinping’s Visit

On December 12 and 13, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President, paid a state visit to Vietnam. During the two-day visit, both nations engaged in discussions aimed at upgrading China-Vietnam relations and deepening comprehensive strategic cooperation.

Ahead of the visit, on December 11, CGTN Stringer visited Hanoi University to gauge the sentiments of Vietnamese students regarding the Chinese leader’s arrival. The students expressed enthusiasm and optimism for the future of bilateral relations.

One student remarked, \”President Xi is a good leader who can improve the living standards of the Chinese people while making China more prosperous.\” Another student emphasized the significance of the visit, describing it as \”an extremely important event that holds great meaning for the relationship between our two countries.\” They voiced hope that the visit would strengthen cooperation and promote development across various fields.
