Eakvixay Tran, a Lao student studying economics at Tsinghua University, has been captivated by China’s rapidly advancing digital economy. Among the many innovations, Tran is particularly impressed by the widespread use of digital payment platforms across the country.
“I was surprised to find that even the elderly in China can easily use various digital payment platforms for shopping, entertainment, and other daily activities,” Tran remarked. He noted that such seamless integration of technology into daily life is a testament to the nation’s commitment to innovation.
Tran believes that the success of digital payments in China is the result of collaborative efforts. “This achievement can only be made possible with the joint efforts of the Chinese government, relevant companies, and shops,” he said. The collective push towards embracing new technology has not only modernized transactions but also made them more accessible to all age groups.
His experiences shed light on how China’s digital economy is not just thriving but also fostering an inclusive environment where technology enhances the quality of life for everyone, regardless of age.
