China’s Railway Workers Share Insights at Two Sessions

The annual Two Sessions are currently underway in Beijing, where delegates from across China convene to discuss key issues affecting the nation. This year, railway construction and development have emerged as prominent topics, reflecting their significant impact on the daily lives of ordinary people.

Frontline workers from the Zhengzhou Railway Bureau and Chawu Track Division, including conductors, railway flaw detectors, and train dispatchers, have voiced their concerns and suggestions. Through interviews conducted by CGTN, these workers shared firsthand experiences and offered insights into the challenges they face in the railway industry.

Many expressed the need for continued investment in railway infrastructure to enhance safety and efficiency. A conductor from the Zhengzhou Railway Bureau commented, “Improving the rail network not only boosts economic growth but also ensures safer and more comfortable journeys for passengers.”

Railway flaw detectors highlighted the importance of adopting advanced technologies for maintenance. “Integrating innovative detection equipment can help us identify and address issues more effectively, preventing potential accidents,” said a worker from the Chawu Track Division.

Train dispatchers emphasized the significance of staff training and well-being. “Providing better training programs and support for railway personnel will improve operational efficiency and job satisfaction,” one dispatcher noted.

The insights from these frontline workers underscore the crucial role of the railway system in China’s development. Their contributions at the Two Sessions aim to influence policies that will drive progress in the railway sector, ultimately benefiting communities nationwide.
