On January 18, President Xi Jinping, also the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, held a video call with the Fuzhou Social Welfare Institute in southeast China’s Fujian Province. He extended festive greetings to the elderly residents and the staff who care for them.
During the call, President Xi emphasized the importance of ensuring a happy and fulfilling life for the elderly, especially as China’s population continues to age rapidly.
