Originally from the United States, Marissa has been calling the Chinese city of Wuhan her home for the past five years. In 2022, her connection to the city deepened when she married into a Chinese family, firmly planting her roots in her new community.
“This year, I was most impressed seeing the improvements in environmental protection around the city,” Marissa shared. Witnessing the rapid development and positive changes in Wuhan, both within the city and its surroundings, has been a significant part of her experience. “This is an advancement that I am proud to see happening just outside my door here in Wuhan,” she added.
Marissa’s journey reflects not only personal growth but also the dynamic evolution of Wuhan itself. As she embraces her life in China, she continues to be inspired by the progress and the welcoming spirit of her new home.
