Hungarian designer Steven Back, who has lived in Shanghai for nearly 18 years, has witnessed these changes firsthand. “The new COVID-19 measures are a relief to everyone,” Back shared. “There’s a palpable sense of optimism as businesses reopen and people feel more secure about their routines. It’s encouraging to see the economy moving towards its pre-pandemic growth.”
