The week-long 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) concluded on Saturday in Beijing. Phrases such as “people-centered philosophy” and “high-quality education system” are gaining attention across China.

CGTN Stringer invited people from around the world to discuss these buzzwords. In this episode, individuals from Britain, Spain, Brazil, and Zambia shared their thoughts and understanding of China’s education system, based on their own experiences studying in China.

Sibele from Brazil highlighted the crucial role education plays in China’s development. “Education is the motor of success of the Chinese society,” she said. “It wouldn’t have been able to achieve such a level of development without a strong emphasis on education.”

Other participants echoed similar sentiments, noting that China’s education system emphasizes discipline, innovation, and a strong work ethic. They observed that the government’s investment in education reflects its commitment to cultivating talent and fostering economic growth.

The international students appreciated the opportunity to experience China’s educational environment firsthand, recognizing the blend of traditional values and modern advancements.
