On April 14, the city reported 2,573 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 25,146 asymptomatic cases. Amidst these challenging times, volunteers like Hou play a crucial role in supporting the community and healthcare efforts.

When contacted by CGTN Global Stringer, Hou described his experiences as both challenging and rewarding. As a volunteer, he assists with the daily operations of the quarantine hotel, ensuring that those isolating receive necessary support and that health protocols are meticulously followed.
