One such facility is located in the China Flower Expo park in Shanghai’s Chongming District. Among the many volunteers stepping up to assist in this critical time is a young man named Ruyou. His journey offers a rare glimpse into the inner workings of these temporary hospitals and the efforts to contain the outbreak.
Before entering the facility, preparations were meticulous. Volunteers underwent rigorous training and safety protocols to ensure both their safety and that of the patients. “We were briefed on the proper use of protective equipment and the procedures for patient interaction,” said Ruyou.
