Assac, France — In a bid to foster community engagement and promote sustainable development, CGN Europe Energy, a subsidiary of China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), recently held an open house event at the Assac Wind Farm in southern France.
The event welcomed over 250 pupils from nearby schools along with local farmers, providing them with an opportunity to explore the workings of wind energy and its impact on regional growth. Interactive sessions and guided tours were organized to educate visitors about renewable energy technologies and their benefits.
The mayor of Assac municipality highlighted the positive influence of the wind farm on local tourism. “Since the establishment of the wind farm, our new hiking path has attracted many tourists, turning into an industrial tourism project that benefits our community,” he remarked.
The Assac Wind Farm has not only contributed to France’s renewable energy targets but has also strengthened ties between China and Europe in the field of sustainable energy. The open house served as a platform for knowledge exchange and showcased how wind power can drive economic and social development in rural areas.
