Egypt Showcases ‘Pyramids of the New Age’ in Virtual Tour of New Capital

On September 3, the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) hosted an online open-day event, offering a virtual tour of the Central Business District (CBD) project in Egypt’s new administrative capital. Guided by an enthusiastic Egyptian boy, viewers were taken through the impressive developments that are reshaping the country’s skyline.

The highlight of the tour was the Iconic Tower, a skyscraper that stands at 385.8 meters tall. Upon its completion, it will become Africa’s tallest building, symbolizing Egypt’s aspirations for modernization and economic growth. The tower is part of a series of landmark constructions within the CBD, aiming to transform the new capital into a hub of business and innovation.

The CBD project reflects the deepening cooperation between Egypt and China, showcasing state-of-the-art engineering and architectural designs. The new administrative capital is set to alleviate congestion in Cairo and provide a modern infrastructure for government institutions and businesses.

Participants of the virtual event were given insights into the construction processes, technological advancements, and the vision behind the new developments. The project not only signifies a leap in urban development for Egypt but also strengthens its position in the regional and global economy.
