China Energy Funds Kindergarten in South Africa, Enhancing Community Ties

China Energy Investment Corporation, through its subsidiary China Longyuan Power Group, has established and funded a kindergarten in South Africa, strengthening educational ties and community engagement in the region.

In a recent open day event organized by China Longyuan Power Group, staff members connected via video with the children and teachers of the kindergarten. They danced, chatted, and shared moments of joy, highlighting the cultural exchange and the company’s commitment to social responsibility.

The event also included a visit to the De Aar wind power project, South Africa’s largest wind power project developed by China Longyuan Power Group. The project represents a significant investment in renewable energy and economic development in the area.

Established in 2015, the kindergarten employs four teachers who provide education to 20 children in six well-equipped classrooms. All educational supplies have been donated by China Longyuan Power Group, demonstrating their dedication to supporting local education. During the coronavirus pandemic, the company also sponsored meals for the children, ensuring their well-being during challenging times.

The collaboration between China Energy and the South African community exemplifies a successful partnership fostering economic development, cultural exchange, and social welfare. It underscores the positive impact of international investment in local communities, benefiting both parties and contributing to regional growth.
