Vlogger Highlights China-Israel Cooperation in COVID-19 Response

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Israel faced a surge in confirmed cases, leading to widespread fear and uncertainty. Amid this crisis, China extended a helping hand, providing medical supplies, equipment, and emotional support that proved vital on the front lines. Raz Galor, owner and host of Y-China, shared insights into how the collaboration between China and Israel became a beacon of hope during challenging times.

Professor Eyal Leshem, one of Israel’s leading infectious disease experts at Sheba Medical Center, highlighted the significant role played by the Peking Union Medical College Hospital. From the early stages of the pandemic, the Chinese medical team initiated weekly conference calls with Israeli hospitals, sharing valuable knowledge on treatments, equipment usage, and best practices.

In addition to medical cooperation, educational exchanges also took place. When Israel planned to reopen schools, Chinese teachers offered guidance on the safest methods to return students to classrooms, drawing from their firsthand experience.

Raz Galor emphasized that kindness and mutual support defined the cooperation between the two countries. People from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs came together to address common challenges. “I hope that in the face of a common disaster, everyone can embrace each other instead of turning against each other, can understand each other rather than misunderstand each other,” he expressed.

The partnership between China and Israel during the pandemic serves as a testament to the power of international collaboration. As nations continue to navigate the complexities of global health crises, such stories of unity and support underscore the importance of solidarity in overcoming shared adversities.
