In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, the southern Italian region of Puglia faced a devastating crisis. With a population of four million, the region was severely impacted due to a shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and medical supplies from the Italian government. In addition to the much-needed PPE, experienced medical workers and engineers from Guangdong provided invaluable support in the fight against COVID-19.
