In the bustling Tianjin Economic Development Zone, boiler operator Liu Junli sits comfortably in a clean, bright control room. Gone are the days when his job required him to change clothes at least twice a day due to the grime and soot. Thanks to a recent green overhaul at the factory where he works, Liu’s environment has been transformed, turning a once dirty and demanding job into a sought-after position.
“I used to dread the constant dirt and the need to keep changing my clothes,” Liu recalls. “Now, I manage the boilers using a smart console, and my hands stay clean throughout the day.”
The modernization of the factory showcases the advancements in industrial technology and the growing emphasis on environmental sustainability in China. By upgrading to smart, eco-friendly systems, the factory not only improved working conditions for employees like Liu but also reduced its environmental footprint.
