Shenyang’s ‘Restaurant of Love’ Serves Kindness One Bowl at a Time

Shenyang, China – For over two decades, Cheng Yajuan and her husband have been quietly making a difference from their modest noodle restaurant near a bustling labor market in northeastern Shenyang. Known affectionately as the “Restaurant of Love,” their eatery has become a haven for those facing financial hardships.

It has been their heartfelt policy to offer free bowls of noodles to anyone in need. Over the 21 years they’ve been in business, Cheng estimates they’ve given away more than 6,000 bowls. “We believe no one should go hungry, especially during tough times,” she shared.

The couple’s generosity has not gone unnoticed. Regular customers often pay extra for their meals, keen to support the restaurant’s mission. “It’s our way of contributing to this circle of kindness,” said one patron. “In a world where everyone is busy, this place reminds us to look out for each other.”

The “Restaurant of Love” stands as a testament to the power of compassion in fostering community spirit. Cheng and her husband continue to inspire others, proving that small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact.
