The 19th Asian Games have introduced a remarkable symbol of tradition and innovation through their medals, aptly named “Shan Shui,” meaning mountains and lakes in Chinese.
Designed by artist Zhang Junjie and his team, the medals represent a revolutionary approach to medal design, drawing inspiration from the harmonious blend of square and circular elements found in the traditional Chinese jade cong.
