Wang Kunpeng, a technician from China, has found a new home away from home while working on the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway in Indonesia. “I was very much looking forward to coming here because I heard Indonesia is a beautiful country,” Wang shared. “And true enough, I found that everyone here is generally friendly. We’ve gotten along well with Indonesian colleagues.”
As part of the international team developing Southeast Asia’s first high-speed railway, Wang has played a crucial role in training Indonesian technicians. His efforts aim to empower them to operate equipment and manage the project independently. “It’s rewarding to see our Indonesian colleagues grow in confidence and skill,” he said. “I look forward to seeing them take full control of the operations.”
The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway is a landmark project that not only enhances connectivity between the two major cities but also symbolizes the strengthening ties between China and Indonesia. The collaboration fosters cultural exchange and mutual understanding, laying a foundation for future partnerships. Wang’s positive experience reflects the broader spirit of cooperation driving the project forward.
