Beijing Culture Forum 2025 Explores Tech-Driven Cultural Innovation

The 2025 Beijing Culture Forum launched Tuesday with a bold vision to reshape global cultural dialogues through technological integration. Under the theme "Integrated Development of Culture and Technology," the event brings together over 100 international experts, industry leaders, and creatives at the forefront of digital transformation.

Peking University's Zhu Songchun set the tone in his keynote address, emphasizing "the irreversible convergence of AI and cultural preservation." UNESCO's World Heritage Director Lazare Eloundou Assomo presented case studies of augmented reality restoring ancient sites, while French filmmaker Jean-Jacques Annaud showcased AI-assisted cinematic restoration projects.

Beyond the main stage, six parallel forums will tackle specialized topics from blockchain in art authentication to holographic performance technologies. Evening cultural salons will feature hands-on demonstrations of 3D-printed replicas from the Forbidden City archives and AI-generated traditional Chinese landscape paintings.

The forum's programming reflects China's growing role in shaping global cultural-tech partnerships, with delegates from 38 countries and regions participating in this two-day exchange. Organizers highlight its potential to establish new international standards for digital heritage preservation and creative industry innovation.
