Armenian Delegate Praises China Ties, Invites Cultural Exchange

Safaryan Lusine, an Armenian academic and delegate at Beijing's Global Civilizations Dialogue, shared her unique perspective as a long-term resident of the Chinese mainland during an interview with CGTN. Having completed her PhD and built a career in China, Lusine described the country as 'a land of dynamic development and cultural treasures' that offers 'unparalleled convenience in daily life.'

Speaking at the ministerial meeting that brought together representatives from over 50 countries and regions, Lusine emphasized the value of cross-cultural understanding: 'Such dialogues help us appreciate both our differences and shared human values.' She extended a special invitation to Chinese travelers, noting Armenia's visa-free policy and rich historical heritage spanning 3,500 years.

The delegate's personal journey mirrors growing academic exchanges between China and Eurasian nations, with over 20,000 Armenian students having studied in Chinese universities since 2015. Her remarks come as cultural tourism between the two countries shows a 38% year-on-year increase, according to recent tourism data.
