Featuring 145 rare artifacts, the event offers a vivid journey through ancient Chinese culinary traditions, rituals, and social customs.

Bridging Cultures Through Cuisine

Curated specifically for Russian audiences, the exhibition explores how food shaped China"s dynastic history, from ornate imperial banquet utensils to agricultural tools. Visitors can step into the world of imperial banquets, Taoist fasting practices, and the symbolic role of food in ancestral rites.

Artifacts Tell a Story

Highlights include Tang-era ceramics, Ming Dynasty lacquerware, and Qing-era bronze vessels engraved with poetic inscriptions. Interactive displays decode ancient cooking techniques and the philosophy of "harmony between heaven and humankind" in Chinese gastronomy.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties

The event coincides with the 2024-25 China-Russia Years of Culture, a bilateral initiative fostering cross-cultural dialogue. Museum director Elena Gagarina noted, "This exhibition is a bridge—it helps Russians understand China"s soul through its culinary heritage."
