CMG and China’s Agriculture Ministry Partner to Highlight Farmers’ Stories

Beijing, September 22—China Media Group (CMG) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) to delve deeper into the lives of Chinese farmers and better present their stories to the world. The signing ceremony took place in Beijing on Friday, ahead of the country’s seventh Farmers’ Harvest Festival set to be celebrated on Sunday.

The partnership aims to strengthen media coverage of rural communities, showcasing the achievements and daily lives of farmers across China. By leveraging CMG’s extensive broadcasting platforms, the initiative will bring greater visibility to the agricultural sector’s contributions to the nation’s development.

Representatives from both CMG and MARA expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. They highlighted the importance of telling authentic stories that reflect the progress and challenges within rural areas, thereby fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation among both domestic and international audiences.

The timing of the agreement aligns with the Farmers’ Harvest Festival, an annual event honoring the hard work and dedication of farmers nationwide. This festival serves as a platform to celebrate agricultural heritage, promote rural culture, and encourage community engagement.

The cooperation between CMG and MARA is expected to enrich content related to agriculture and rural affairs, providing audiences with insightful perspectives on China’s dynamic countryside. It represents a significant step in enhancing the portrayal of farmers, supporting rural revitalization efforts, and strengthening the connection between urban and rural populations.
