CMG Hosts Media Exchange to Boost China-Africa Cooperation

As anticipation builds for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), Beijing became the epicenter of a significant cultural convergence on Saturday. An influential media exchange event titled “A Civilization Symphony and a Digital Dream-Builder: ‘African Partners'” brought together voices from across continents.

Hosted by China Media Group (CMG), the event aimed to strengthen media cooperation between China and Africa, fostering cultural exchanges and mutual learning in the digital era. The initiative reflects a shared vision to bridge communities through storytelling and technological innovation.

Over 200 participants attended the gathering, representing international organizations, media outlets, think tanks, and diverse sectors from China and more than 20 African nations. The bustling assembly underscored the enthusiasm and commitment to collaborative growth.

Adding to the event’s resonance, several African leaders shared heartfelt messages via video. Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Central African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadera, and Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan voiced their unwavering support for enhanced media exchanges and practical cooperation between China and Africa.

The event not only highlighted the robust ties between China and African countries but also set a hopeful tone for the upcoming FOCAC summit. By uniting media professionals and leaders, the gathering paved the way for a future of shared narratives and strengthened partnerships.
