The rhythmic pounding of drums echoed along the Qinhuai River as a dozen dragon boat teams sliced through the water, their paddles beating in unison. Over 320 athletes gathered in Nanjing, east China’s Jiangsu Province, to compete in the provincial-level dragon boat race, igniting the early summer with vibrant energy.
