Grand Chinese Art Exhibition ‘From Beijing to Paris’ Opens in Paris
Paris is set to welcome a major Chinese art exhibition on Monday, aiming to foster cultural exchanges between China and France and to spread the Olympic spirit.
Titled “From Beijing to Paris: Olympic Tour of Chinese and French Artists“, the exhibition will showcase over 200 works of art by more than 100 leading Chinese artists. The collection features traditional Chinese ink wash paintings, calligraphy, oil paintings, sculptures, and pieces of intangible cultural heritage, highlighting the diversity and openness of Chinese art.
The exhibition, jointly hosted by China Media Group, the French National Olympic and Sports Committee, the Ligue de Football Professionnel, and several French art organizations, will be open to the public from May 7 to 18.
This cultural event serves as a bridge between the East and the West, celebrating the shared values of artistic expression and international cooperation embodied by the Olympic spirit. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich artistic traditions of China, experiencing firsthand the interplay between ancient techniques and contemporary perspectives.
By bringing this exhibition to Paris, the organizers hope to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese art and culture in France, strengthening the longstanding cultural ties between the two nations.
