China Media Group and French Embassy Launch Sino-French Culinary Exchange Program

China Media Group (CMG) and the French Embassy in China have jointly launched a Sino-French culinary exchange program, marking a new chapter in cultural collaboration between the two nations.

The program was officially launched on Tuesday at an event attended by prominent figures including CMG President Shen Haixiong, French Ambassador to China Bertrand Lortholary, and Wu Weishan, director of the National Art Museum of China. The initiative aims to foster mutual understanding and appreciation through the rich culinary traditions of both countries.

Shen Haixiong remarked during the launch event, “Cultural exchanges between China and France have continued to deepen in recent years, setting an example for mutual learning among world civilizations.” He highlighted the significant role of CMG as the largest and most comprehensive international media platform in promoting cultural dialogues and expanding the space for Sino-French cooperation.

CMG has previously engaged in various collaborations with French partners across multiple sectors, contributing to the strengthening of ties and shared cultural heritage. The new culinary exchange program is expected to bring together chefs, food experts, and enthusiasts from both nations, offering a platform for exchanging culinary techniques, traditions, and innovations.

The launch of this program underscores the commitment of both China and France to enhance cultural relations and provides a unique opportunity for people to connect through the universal language of cuisine. It is anticipated that the exchange will not only delight gastronomes but also inspire deeper appreciation of each other’s cultures among the wider public.
