2026 WIC Asia-Pacific Summit Opens in Hong Kong, Focuses on AI and Digital Innovation

The 2026 World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit commenced today in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), bringing together global tech leaders and policymakers to address the region's digital future. Under the theme "Digital and Intelligent Empowerment for Innovative Development", the two-day event aims to strengthen cross-border collaboration in artificial intelligence governance and cybersecurity.

This year's agenda features six specialized forums exploring AI applications in healthcare, finance, and cultural preservation, alongside a main forum integrating the Distinguished Contributors Gala. New initiatives include an AI security training program for Asia-Pacific government officials and the release of groundbreaking reports on AI ethics and digital finance frameworks.
