Jiangxi Launches Asia’s Largest Humanoid Robot Training Hub

Jiujiang's Poyang Lake Eco-Tech City has unveiled a groundbreaking 4,000-square-meter training facility for humanoid robots, positioning Jiangxi Province as a key player in China's artificial intelligence revolution. The center, operational since early April 2026, represents a strategic shift toward data-driven industrial automation across Asia's manufacturing sectors.

Equipped with advanced simulation environments replicating 15 industrial scenarios, the facility currently hosts more than 100 robots undergoing specialized training. Through proprietary algorithms analyzing tens of millions of data points, engineers are developing over 1,000 customized small models designed to enhance autonomous reasoning capabilities in manufacturing applications.

The local government has allocated 650 million yuan ($89.7 million) in targeted funding to accelerate industrial integration, creating a streamlined pathway from laboratory prototypes to full-scale production. This investment supports the development of complete supply chains for high-end robotics manufacturing, with the first batch of 10,000 'Jiujiang-made' intelligent robots scheduled for nationwide deployment by late 2026.

Industry analysts suggest this initiative could redefine workforce dynamics in electronics assembly, precision manufacturing, and hazardous material handling. The project aligns with broader national efforts to establish the Chinese mainland as a global leader in practical AI applications while maintaining strict adherence to industrial safety standards.
