China, Pakistan Strengthen Ties Amid Iran Situation

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning confirmed on Tuesday that Foreign Ministers from China and Pakistan will deepen strategic coordination regarding the Iran situation and other shared regional concerns. The announcement came ahead of Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar's scheduled arrival in China this week.

Strategic Dialogue on Regional Stability

Mao emphasized the nations' roles as all-weather strategic partners, stating they maintain 'mutual trust and aligned positions' on critical international issues. Both sides aim to intensify efforts toward conflict resolution and regional stability, particularly addressing developments in Iran and their broader implications for Asia.

Foundations of Cooperation

The dialogue builds on decades of China-Pakistan collaboration across infrastructure, security, and economic projects. Analysts note the timing aligns with heightened global attention on Middle Eastern tensions, positioning both countries as key stakeholders in shaping diplomatic outcomes.

This year's consultations follow recent multilateral engagements, including China's mediation role in Middle East peace initiatives and Pakistan's growing economic partnerships under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor framework.
