The showcase features duixiu embroidery patterns once reserved for ceremonial attire reworked into sleek blazers, while traditional bangdian aprons find new life as asymmetrical skirts through modern tailoring techniques.
"We're not preserving museum pieces – we're letting living traditions evolve," Guo told attendees during the March 30 showcase. The collection utilizes pulu woolen fabric woven by Tibetan artisans, combined with lightweight yak wool blends developed through sustainable partnerships with herders' cooperatives.
The show's climax featured models moving through dynamic projections of Tibetan opera masks, creating a dialogue between ancestral performance art and 21st-century projection mapping technology. Industry analysts note the collection's commercial potential, with several pieces already attracting interest from international luxury retailers.
