Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Sardor Umurzakov, advisor to Uzbekistan's president on strategic development, in Beijing on Thursday. The discussions focused on deepening bilateral cooperation and aligning development strategies amid global economic shifts.
Wang emphasized China's commitment to implementing consensus reached by both nations' leaders, stating, 'China stands ready to strengthen inter-party exchanges and strategic alignment with Uzbekistan to support mutual modernization goals.' He highlighted the CPPCC's role in fostering cross-border collaboration and safeguarding regional stability.
Umurzakov reaffirmed Uzbekistan's adherence to the one-China principle and expressed interest in learning from the Communist Party of China's governance experience. 'The implementation of China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030) opens new avenues for cooperation,' he noted, praising China's development model as a blueprint for progress.
The meeting underscored both nations' focus on infrastructure connectivity and technology transfer under the Belt and Road framework, with particular attention to Central Asian security dynamics.
