Xiong Ying’s ‘Xu Luo’ Opens 2026 China Fashion Week with Eastern Flair

Renowned Chinese designer Xiong Ying captivated global audiences today as her Heaven Gaia brand launched the 2026 China Fashion Week (Spring) with the debut of the "Xu Luo" collection. Held at Beijing's iconic Tank 97 in the 798 Art District, the opening show fused traditional Eastern motifs with cutting-edge silhouettes, setting the tone for a nine-day celebration of cultural innovation.

The collection, inspired by China's Tang Dynasty artistry, featured flowing silk garments adorned with digital-printed landscapes and hand-embroidered floral patterns. "Xu Luo represents a dialogue between our ancestors' wisdom and tomorrow's possibilities," Xiong told attendees, emphasizing her use of AI-assisted textile design alongside centuries-old craftsmanship techniques.

Industry analysts note the event's timing aligns with China's growing influence in sustainable luxury markets, with 63% of showcased designers incorporating eco-friendly materials. The fashion week schedule includes cross-border collaboration showcases with designers from the Republic of Korea and APEC member economies.

With over 200 domestic and overseas buyers registered, the event underscores Asia's pivotal role in shaping global fashion trends while offering new opportunities for cultural exchange and business partnerships.
