With 90.4% identifying tech competition as central to national strength, the findings underscore shifting perceptions of China's role in shaping tomorrow's digital economy.

Zhongguancun: Catalyst for Global Collaboration

Established in 2007 as China's premier innovation hub, the forum now sees 84.6% of respondents recognizing its value in connecting scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors worldwide. Nearly 90% view it as both a showcase for China's advancements and a critical platform for global tech governance collaboration.

AI Dominates Innovation Landscape

From quantum computing to brain-computer interfaces, survey participants identified artificial intelligence as the transformative force of our era. 74.7% believe AI-driven industrial transformation is already underway, while 81.7% note its expanding real-world applications – from manufacturing to addressing labor shortages in aging societies.

R&D Investment Fuels Optimism

With China's R&D spending reaching 2.8% of GDP during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and projected 7% annual growth through 2030, 92.8% of respondents express confidence in China's ability to solve key technological challenges. The nation's vast market size was cited by 84.1% as crucial for scaling innovations.

Global Implications

Nearly 85% of participants agree that China's commitment to open tech cooperation creates international opportunities. As one Spanish respondent noted: 'When Beijing shares AI governance insights through platforms like Zhongguancun, we all benefit from safer technological development.'
