China, Mongolia Strengthen Ties in High-Level Legislative Meeting

China's top legislator Zhao Leji met with a Mongolian People's Party delegation led by Nyam-Osor Uchral in Beijing on March 23, 2026, reaffirming commitments to deepen bilateral cooperation under the framework of their comprehensive strategic partnership.

Zhao, chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, emphasized China's dedication to advancing mutual trust and practical collaboration with Mongolia. 'Under the strategic guidance of our leaders, we are steadily progressing toward building a community with a shared future characterized by peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation,' he stated during the meeting.

The discussions highlighted plans to enhance legislative exchanges, expand economic partnerships, and strengthen multilateral coordination. Zhao also shared insights into China's whole-process people's democracy, underscoring its role in fostering inclusive governance.

Uchral, chairman of Mongolia's State Great Hural, reiterated Mongolia's long-standing policy of prioritizing stable relations with China. 'Our legislative body is committed to supporting practical cooperation across all sectors to benefit both nations,' he affirmed.
